The neckline on this Lazaro is called an elongated V. The backline is a styled in a deep V as it hits the waist. The bodice is sheer. However, it can be lined to provide the bride with a little more modesty.

This gown is often confused with a mermaid but is, in fact, a trumpet sheath.
A mermaid silhouette is a style that flaunts feminine curves; the style tightly fits the bride the contours of the body from bodice to the knee or slightly below, at which point the skirt begins to dramatically flare away from the body, down to the hem.
In contrast, the trumpet silhouette is a style of gown that features a gradually flared skirt and a close-fitting bodice that skims the lines of the body, through the hips.
Ok, so what is Trumpet / Sheath?
This Lazaro 3609 dress is a combination of trumpet and sheath silhouettes. The sheath element is integrated with this trumpet silhouette in that it drops from the waist not hugging the bride tightly at the hip or upper leg, it flows allowing movement freely when walking. (see the video below).
