Dress of the Week: Pronovias "Epico"

Dress of the Week: Pronovias “Epico”

Hey girls, this week on dress of the week, we are talking about Pronovias “Epico.” Epico is a gorgeous strapless sweetheart crepe in lace applique gown. First of all, I want to talk about strapless dresses. Many brides walks through the doors and says they don’t want strapless, but I promise you, when it is fitted and altered to your size, you’re going to be 100% comfortable in it. You’re not going to be pulling it up all night, regardless of the size of your chest. What makes this strapless so different from the rest is that there is a mix between the lace applique and the double line stretchy Crepe. Crepe is going to make you feel comfortable. You can walk around and sit and dance in it, but the lace applique is going to cover up some of those spots that we might feel a little self conscious about. It also gives you the taste of lace without having a full on at lace gown. Lace applique is more modern. It’s flattering by being cut out here on the side, continuing into the sweetheart and down to your middle section. We love these floral kick outs on the side with a little bit of scallop edging. The back is also absolutely amazing! The detail of the train mirrors the lace applique and floral imagery in the kick outs Come check out, Pronovias in the store!

Dress of the Week: Marchesa “Sienna”

Dress of the Week: Marchesa "Sienna"

Dress of the Week: Marchesa “Sienna”

Hey Girls, thanks for checking out another dress of the week. I’m so excited to talk about this dress simply because it’s so different. That’s my theme for this week. It’s a very unconventional dress, but still very bridal. It’s the “Sienna”gown by Marchesa Notte. This Gal is a fun, unique bridal gown, but it is still classic and elegant. Starting with the flutter sleeves. I think these are so cool. It’s a little different of a take on a cap sleeve where you arent fully covered but you’re not fully exposed like you would be in a spaghetti strap or a tank style. These sleeves are very beautiful, very delicate and whimsical. The sleeves also really go with the slit at the bottom of this dress. It’s a center slit, which is extremely fun and gives a nice flow. There is movement there even though it’s a more fitted silhouette. Then you a nude underlay underneath, which we love to see. The nude lining makes the lace pop and is a very flattering color. To finish it off, there is a gorgeous, nearly invisible illusion over the chest to keep you comfortable. We also love the very pretty and petite bow. We absolutely love Marchesa. Come check out this designer in our store and try on Sienna, you won’t regret it. Thank you.

Dress of the Week: Bill Levkoff 1620 and 1623

Dress of the Week: Bill Levkoff 1620 and 1623

“Dress of the week: Bill Levkoff “1620” and “1623”

This week, we are talking about the new Bill Levkoff bridesmaids collection. The brand has launched a new color Palette and we are so excited about it. On the right, we have an evergreen color which is perfect for that fall or winter wedding. On the left, there is a nude color which goes perfectly with that blush neutral tone that we’re seeing a lot of brides go with these days and not only are we seeing a ton of new color swatches, but we’re also seeing some new fabrics. So both of these dresses are crepe which as opposed to the traditional chiffon, which is a little bit more flowy and is flattering on everybody. These dresses are still going to be flattering, they’re stretchy, they have beautiful princess seams on either side. We’re loving the combination of that new fresh fabric with very trendy necklines. This off the shoulder you can still raise your arms and the roof a little bit if you want. This one shoulder is totally making a comeback in fashion overall. So if you are interested in checking out these dresses, give us a call and book an appointment.

Dress of the Week: Nouvelle Amsale Celeste

Albany Bride Guide - By Angela's Bridal

Dress of the Week: Nouvelle Amsale Celeste

This week on dress of the week. We are talking about the classic A-line silhouette using the beautiful Celeste gown by Nouvelle Amsale as our example. So an A-line is different from a ballgown. A ballgown is going to have major volume everywhere. Whether it’s coming out from the top in the form of tulle or is coming from underneath the gown via crinoline. A dress like this still has crinoline, but it’s an a line because you can still walk around and move. You are still going to be extremely flattered because it cuts in at your natural waist, which is everybody’s smallest part. We love this a-line in particular, because of the Mikado fabric and the top of the dress. This spaghetti strap is very unique for bridal. It’s flattering to your upper body, your shoulders, your collarbone, but gives you the support that strapless dresses can’t. The square neckline and the way that they kind of create this geometric pattern using the seams is so flattering and very unique.

So if you’re interested in trying on an a-line dress, Celeste is definitely a good place to start.

Dress of the Week: Tara Keely by Lazaro “Myra”

Dress of the Week: Tara Keely by Lazaro "Myra"

This week we’re featuring one of the gowns in our designer pop up collection with Tara Keely by Lazaro. This dress is amazing for those spring and summer 2020 brides that are just starting to look, as we do recommend buying a year in advance. The dress is extremely lightweight, which is probably one of it’s best qualities. It will not even feel like you’re wearing this gown. So if you are having an outdoor ceremony or a destination wedding, this dress would be absolutely perfect. You’ll be comfortable all night long, but still a little sexy. This dress features a nice deep V, an a-line silhouette, crocheted lace bodice that will show your skin underneath it. The back also had a deep V and the sides have a little bit of netting so that you every time you turn to the side, it’s going to be just that little sexy something. This dress is a beautiful blush color. Blush is going to be beautiful if you have darker hair, fair skin, or sort of that natural rosy cheeks or freckles. Brides look beautiful in blush. If you are interested in checking out our designer pop-up, request an appointment to come see Tara Keely by Lazaro at the store.

Mikaella Bridal, 2239, crepe, fitted, modest, sexy

Mikaella Bridal, 2239, crepe, fitted, modest, sexy

This week we are talking about being conservative and sexy at the same time. Mikaella 2239 just came into the shop. It’s a great example of how you can be a little bit more simple and classic, but still show off your figure. If you have a bigger chest you don’t want the girls to be all out there. The deep v is the sexy part. The conservative part is that illusion that covers it up. You will feel flattered and looking amazing. Best of all you’re going to feel extremely comfortable in this stretch crepe. I think sometimes, lace can feel like a lot. It can feel overwhelming if you’re not used to being the center of attention, but crepe is light and clean. It shows off your silhouette, but it’s still breathable and stretchy so that it does not feel super, super tight.

if you’re into MIkaella or being conservative and sexy, book an appointment to come check out this gown and the rest our Mikaella gowns.
